At Madhyamgram Ramakrishna Missionary Institution, we believe that education is not limited to textbooks and examinations. A truly educated person is one who can express themselves, appreciate their culture, respect their nation and live with dignity and joy.
We organise a rich calendar of activities, celebrations and events throughout the academic year — all designed to develop confidence, creativity, teamwork and national pride in our students.
A year full of learning, culture and celebration
26th January – Flag hoisting, patriotic songs and speeches celebrating our Constitution.
Celebrating the birth anniversary of the great poet Rabindranath Tagore with recitations and songs.
15th August – Flag hoisting, cultural programmes and proud celebration of India's freedom.
Reverence to the Goddess of Knowledge and Learning — celebrated with devotion and colour.
Track and field events, team sports, races and prize distribution for young athletes.
Annual drawing competition where students showcase their artistic talent and creativity.
Dance, drama, music and skits performed by students before their families and community.
Students contribute articles, poems, drawings and stories to a beautifully presented wall magazine.
Building the whole child — not just the academic student
When students perform on stage, participate in sports or exhibit their art, they develop confidence and the ability to express themselves in public. These are skills that last a lifetime.
Republic Day, Independence Day and Rabindra Jayanti celebrations connect students to their cultural roots and instil a sense of pride in being Indian.
Sports, cultural programmes and group activities teach students to work together, respect others and achieve common goals — vital life skills.
The Wall Magazine, Sit & Draw Competition and cultural functions give students an outlet for creative expression — nurturing artists, writers and performers of the future.
